Play’n GO Push the Envelope with Iron Girl

Play’n GO Push the Envelope with Iron GirlReading Time: 2 minutes

Join Iron Girl in her infamous Iron Armour to rid the universe of evil, in this latest space age slot from Play’n GO. Battling against the universe’s most nefarious criminals; Quake, Shia, Slith and Thunder, Iron Girl needs your help to triumph against evil.

Award-winning supplier Play’n GO today revealed their latest gaming title Iron Girl; a space age slot based on the adventures of the titular character.

The game is a 5-reel slot that follows the adventures of Iron Girl, an intergalactic bounty hunter chasing down wanted criminals across the galaxy with the help of her Iron Armor.

This slot also marks a first for Play’n GO, as they are making use of 3D graphics to animate the Iron Armor feature in their game a format that they have not previously used but has become increasingly popular in online casino gaming over the last year.

Play’n GO CEO Johan Törnqvist spoke about the use of 3D and the decision to finally bring it into play for this game:

“3D graphics are getting very popular in slot gaming, but we didn’t want to rush right into using them just because the option was there, we wanted to make sure we had the right game and that it would look perfect!

When designing Iron Girl, we decided we needed something visually to make the game stand out and do justice to the concept and the entertaining nature of the game, so the time was right for 3D.

It is a very engaging game, and the visuals add even more to the player experience, which is very important for us.”

If the game plays as well as it looks, then Play’n GO may just have another smash hit on their hands.

Bethard granted gaming license in SwedenReading Time: 1 minute

Bethard continues to expand its licensed operations in Europe. Today, the Swedish Gaming Authority announced that Bethard, with its associated white labels, has been granted a Swedish license to operate as from 1st January, 2019. Bethard has thus, in 2018, secured three crucial licences in its strategic markets: The UK, Denmark and Sweden. More licences are to be expected during 2019.

”We are of course very pleased with having our Swedish license and to have received a green light for continuing growing in the Swedish market. Today, I am celebrating together with our white label clients, who now will get the same opportunity as us to carry out operations in Sweden” says Erik Skarp, founder and CEO of Bethard Group. “Sweden is, for many reasons, a very dear market to us and I am personally looking forward to show what we can do in terms of responsible gaming on our home market. Our goal is to become Europe’s leading betting company, not only in terms of innovation but also in terms of having the courage to take the right decisions in order to be a truly responsible gaming company”.

Bethard.com is based in Malta and Sweden. The company is currently licensed in Malta, Denmark, the UK and now Sweden. Work on a license application for a license in Ireland as well as a state license in Schleswig-Holstein in Germany has been initiated. The company is actively seeking licenses in several other markets and expects to have a licensed presence in most key European markets already by 2020.

Bethard has been granted a Swedish license for the maximum period granted, which is five years. The license includes betting and online casino games.

Wyoming Attorney General terms ‘skill games’ illegal

Wyoming Attorney General terms ‘skill games’ illegalReading Time: 1 minute

Peter Michael, the Attorney General of Wyoming, has stated that the so-called “skill games” prevalent in the state are illegal gambling devices.

“At the request of law enforcement officials, I was asked to evaluate whether the electronic games manufactured by Banilla Games are illegal under Wyoming law,” Michael said in a statement Tuesday. “These machines are illegal gambling devices under Wyoming law. Those who play them are engaged in gambling, which is a crime in Wyoming, and those who provide the games are engaged in professional gambling, which is also a crime in Wyoming.”

Michael’s legal opinion does not cover “historic horse racing” terminals at pari-mutuel off-track betting locations. Those terminals are legally valid in Wyoming.

Similarly, it does not concern tribal gaming operations on the Wind River Indian Reservation.

“Because gambling in Wyoming is a crime, not a civil violation, local law enforcement officials and prosecutors will need to determine the timing of the appropriate next steps if their communities have these machines,” Michael said.
